How can I help the VFDs?
Summer heat can kill a firefighter.
Please help by taking bottled water, electrolyte powder packets, or Gatorade-type drinks to your local VFD. These unpaid community heroes put their lives on the line for people and property, and deserve our support.
Or, you can donate to RuralFRF and we will purchase and deliver them for you!
You can also donate a Care Package.
Firefighters face significant occupational health risks, including a 9% higher cancer diagnosis rate and 14% higher cancer mortality rate than the general population.
RuralFRF is dedicated to providing VFD's with decontamination wipes, eye rinse solutions, cooling towels, and other personal care items to help reduce these health risks.
