Approximately 65-70% of firefighters in the United States are unpaid volunteers who put their lives on the line for others.
Outfitting just one firefighter with life-saving Personal Protective Equipment costs between $10,000 and $15,000.
Lack of department funding for equipment and personal care items means the volunteer firefighters pay for these items out of pocket.
Or they simply go without.

Firefighters face significant occupational health risks, including a 9% higher cancer diagnosis rate and 14% higher cancer mortality rate than the general population.
RuralFRF is dedicated to providing VFD's with personal care items to help reduce these health risks.

Reach out to us through our Contact form to ask about the VFD's in your area.
Check our their social media pages for events and news. Follow and promote them on your social media to increase exposure and attract attention to their events and the critical support they provide the community.
Volunteer your time to support their events!

Create your own Care Package! You can purchase most of these items at just about any major retail store or online, and take them to your nearest VFD.

We'll send a Care Package with those items to a rural VFD in your state, or purchase equipment, and include your name or your company's name with it.

There is no fee tacked on to your donation. 100 percent of your donation goes directly to a VFD within the United States.
